Cancellations and Refunds
MCSS is a non-profit organization and we determine the costs for the Annual Conference each year based on our expected attendance and the costs quoted from our host facility for rooms, meals, etc.
As such, we are unable to refund registrations for the Conference. If you are concerned about being able to attend the day of the Conference, there are nearby hotels available where you can stay the night before the Conference. If our host facility is open, the Conference will be held.
All cancellations of conference registration for the annual MCSS Conference need to be sent in writing to the Maine Council for the Social Studies.
Each conference registration cancellation received at least two weeks prior to the annual conference will receive a refund of 50% of the registration cost. Cancellations received less than two weeks before the annual conference will NOT be refunded.
No-Shows
Refunds will not be granted for no-shows (registrants who do not attend the Annual Conference and also do not issue prior notice of cancellation at least two weeks before the date of the Annual Conference).
Attendees assume full responsibility for notification to and verification of receipt by the Maine Council for the Social Studies.
